Medicines Registers
The Evaluations and Registration Division is responsible for assessing the safety, efficacy and quality of medicines and issuing marketing authorization for both human (conventional and complementary) and veterinary (conventional and complementary) medicines. Part of the Division’s key responsibilities include maintenance of medicines registers as required by law
Persons Register
The Licensing and Enforcement Division maintains the register of all persons licensed by MCAZ to operate in Zimbabwe, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other regulated health professionals, as required by law.
Premises Licenses
The Licensing and Enforcement Division maintains the register of all premises licensed by MCAZ to operate in Zimbabwe, including pharmacies, drug stores, wholesale outlets, and manufacturing sites, as required by law.
Local Premise Inspections
The Lincensing and Enforcement Division conducts routine and targeted inspections of locally licensed premises to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This register provides a public record of completed inspections, their outcomes, risk ratings, and regulatory decisions.
GMP Manufacturers
The GMP Compliance register lists manufacturers of medicines that have been inspected by MCAZ or a recognised regulatory authority. It records each manufacturer's GMP status, inspection outcomes, and next scheduled inspection date to support supply-chain due diligence.
